Een 24-jarige Rotterdammer overleed maandag 25 april aan de gevolgen van een schietpartij. De politie verrichtte drie aanhoudingen (twee Hagenaars van 45 en 65 jaar en een 64-jarige Haagse.

Surveillerende agenten werden, in de omgeving van het Stuyvesantplein, omstreeks 06.00 uur op straat aangesproken door een vrouw die aangaf dat er op het plein iets aan de hand zou zijn. Midden op het plein troffen zij het zwaargewonde slachtoffer aan. Direct startten de agenten de reanimatie, die later werd overgenomen voor ambulancepersoneel. Dit mocht helaas niet meer baten, het slachtoffer overleed ter plaatse aan zijn verwondingen. In de omgeving werden drie verdachten aangehouden: twee Hagenaars van 45 en 65 jaar en een 64-jarige Haagse. De 65-jarige verdachte bleek een vuurwapen bij zich te hebben. Forensisch specialisten kwamen ter plaatse voor het sporenonderzoek. Ook in de woningen van de aangehouden verdachten is sporenonderzoek gedaan.


De verdachten zijn ingesloten op het politiebureau en zullen verhoord worden. De oorzaak van het incident moet mogelijk gezocht worden in de relationele sfeer.


De zeer geëmotioneerde ouders van het slachtoffers kwamen op het plein en zijn door politiepersoneel opgevangen.

Omwonenden zeggen dat zij twee schoten gehoord hebben. Midden op de weg staat een auto met een geopend portier en een geopende kofferbak. Volgens een woordvoerdster van de politie zijn de drie inzittenden van de auto als getuige meegenomen naar het bureau voor het afleggen van een verklaring.

De politie heeft een ruim plaats delict afgezet op het plein; verkeer van en naar de omliggende zijstraten is niet mogelijk. Ook HTM-tramlijn 6 is in beide richtingen gestremd.

De technische recherche is inmiddels ter plaatse om onderzoek te doen. Vanuit een politiehelikopter zijn bovendien rond 10.00 uur luchtopnames gemaakt van het Plaats Delict.
